Bolo Bêbado

Bolo Bebado is also known as "drunken cake" in Brazilian recipes and is a moist sponge cake.
Ingredients
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup pinga/rum
Instructions
  1. In a blender, mix first 5 ingredients.
  2. Pour into a greased baking pan, and bake on medium-high temperature until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Sauce: mix last 3 ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over the warm cake.
