Couve a Mineira

Couve a Mineira is a Brazilian food recipe of shredded and sautéed greens.
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 strips smoked bacon, sliced fine
- 1 head green cabbage, shredded
- salt, pepper to taste
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Saute the onion and garlic until softened, for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in bacon.
- Add cabbage and saute for 15 minutes so leaves have softened, but still retain their green color.
- Add salt and pepper.
