Galinhada is a Brazilian rice and chicken recipe.
- 3 cups of rice
- 1 4lb chicken
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 garlic cloves
- 8 red peppers
- ¼ cup corn oil
- 6 cups of water
- 2 yellow onions
- 1 bunch green onions
- Cut the chicken in small pieces then season it with salt, 2 red peppers, and garlic.
- In a large pan, warm the oil. When the oil is hot, cook the chicken over a medium fire for 30 minutes.
- Add the rice and mix with the chicken then add the water and cook for 20 minutes.
- Plate the meal and sprinkle the onions and peppers on top.
